ODE TO THE SPELL CHECKER!

Eye halve a spelling chequer
It came with my pea sea
It plainly marques four my revue
Miss steaks eye kin knot sea.

Eye strike a key and type a word
And weight four it two say
Weather eye am wrong oar write
It shows me strait a weigh.

As soon as a mist ache is maid
It nose bee fore two long
And eye can put the error rite
Its rare lea ever wrong.

Eye have run this poem threw it
I am shore your pleased two no
Its letter perfect awl the weigh
My chequer tolled me sew

This is one of my favourite poems - so funny, and yet so tragic, when you consider Generation Spellcheck, most of whom would not understand why it was funny...

Don't get me started on 'I' before ''E' except after 'C' - it's a dam lie. I'm always getting letters and notes addressed to Kieth.

If I didn't have spell check on the computer my spelling would be ah, atru, atrouch, atrosus, not as good.

Keith, is it Irish webmasters that have the main difficulty with the spelling ummmm .ie Kieth. There might be a good Irish web address you could get using your name.
